📣Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 1:1-20
Hannah waited a long time for God to answer a deep desire of her heart. Hannah’s prayer was for God to open her womb and give her a child. Scripture tells us, “In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly” (1 Samuel 1:10).
In her season of waiting, we see her struggle with emotional and spiritual pain. Perhaps like Hannah, you are persistent in your pursuit of the Lord but feel like God doesn’t seem to be listening or answering your prayers. Maybe you feel stuck in a pit waiting on the Lord to rescue you.
Remember, no matter what you are waiting on, you are not alone. Jesus is with you. He says, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5). In the deepest places of pain that no one can reach, Jesus is there.
After years passed, God heard Hannah’s prayer. He remembered her. Hannah conceived and bore her first son, Samuel. God did not forget Hannah, and He has not forgotten you. God is with you.
1. What are you waiting on the Lord for today?
2. How are you stewarding the time He has given you to wait?
