Many people ask, 'Can i make a difference in life ?'. Such a reflection of a God-given desire which he puts in you. God has put you here to make difference.
"And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi. And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months." Exodus 2:1-2
From this passage, the beauty of Moses was insignificant but the women recognised a uniqueness about this child. People who make a difference are people, at some point have had somebody come to them and identify some treasure or talent in them.
When someone significant comes around and says " I see greatness and uniqueness about you", it builds your confidence and awakens the sleeping giant in you. God wants us to make difference in life, if we are going to make a difference, we must know what business we are in. Jesus said we are in the business of being salt and light.
If we are going to make a difference in our lives, we must know what we are here for and what are called to do. Jesus spelled it out that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world.
Salt adds flavour, prevents corruption, and it creates thirst.
’Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.’Matthew 5:13-16
Salt of the WorldÂ
When the Church lives as we are designed to live, then we can make a impact. Your presence in the world should keep things from being rotten or stale. When you come into a life, people should feel impact.
Light of the World
Jesus also said that we are the light of the world. Light penetrates, light illuminates, and that is also part of our job in the world, to bring an illumination of understanding to our generation. The light is also our conduct, behaviour, attitude, speech and the way we treat people.
